Soft Fluffy Stuff.

For most of January we here in Dublin have been protected from the worse of the winter weather by the horseshoe shaped ramparts of the Dublin Mountains.
Today the ramparts were breached and the snow arrived.

I have a clear memory, as a toddler, of my two older sisters waking me up to see the snow falling outside our bedroom window. It was my first experience of snow and it was magical.
As I have grown a bit older my tolerance for snow and its attendant problems has diminished.
But I have never lost that childhood sense of wonder.
