Snowy hike

Not as wild as it might look, but wonderfully beautiful all the same. We were at the highest point of Benmore Gardens, looking down on the entrance to Glen Massan, having chosen to climb a hill in snow rather than walk the loch-side track on mud and slush. There was a smell of woodsmoke in the air - some garden workers were burning fallen branches in the woodland below us - and apart from that we saw no-one.

We did, however, see a very tame red squirrel ...
