The Castle gates.
Another day of snow. In the morning we felt it wasn't really sensible to go into town at that stage. So we shelved that idea to see what the roads were like later in the day. Instead we decided to have another walk round the village.
AS we were setting off I remarked that at that time the met office were down grading the snow warning from Amber to Yellow. Then we were hit by a blizzard for a few minutes. I should have kept my mouth shut.
During the walk we wandered up towards the castle to see if there would be any interesting shots in the snow. The mist was just about down to the top of the buildings so they weren't really successful. This shot is taken on the way back down the drive looking through the gateway and past the lodge to the centre of the village. The village cross is framed in the centre of the gateway.
It is when you start looking for blips in snow that you realise just how many telegraph poles and wires there are around. It is virtually impossible to take a shot anywhere in the village without getting them in shot!
