Fun In The Snow
Not much fun driving in the snow......
There was only between 1" & 2" but it may as well have been feet deep.
Why do people insist on driving at 10mph in 1st (or maybe 2nd) gear and think they have to put their foot to the floor to go up a slope of maybe 5 degrees?
There was somebody even abandoned their Volvo because all they could do was produce ice and slide it into the kerb (going uphill).
I even overtook a woman driving at less than 10mph with her foot on the brake.
Chicken Lady is skiing in France at the moment - they had well over 4" of snow last night bringing it up to between 2' & 3' and still the buses are running on time up the mountain (it took the Captain and his Mate an hour and a half to go 15 miles into Edinburgh).
Roads through the council estate along with the footbridges and paths have been cleared and gritted but those in the privately owned housing areas ............ nothing!
Even the bus routes in our area were untouched.
But on a lighter note - it was a nice walk through the woods and trying to get some arty picrures of snowy trees and a dog gone mad.
