Yellow warning; wrong!

It was an interesting day today, had been watching the Severe Weather Warnings on the Met Office website but they were only yellow; Wrong! Loads and loads of snow in the high ground around Huddersfield, cars, buses and lorries getting stuck, this car had gone off the road and luckily hit a tree rather than plunging down a bank.

It is all down to not taking care, I drove in some dreadful conditions but kept to a very sensible speed allowing for stopping distance, corners, not pushing it but most of predicting what might be ahead, all with low profile tyres that were on the limit and resemble racing slicks.

Have to say the next 2 hours on the M1 down to Sheffield were very slow and a little nerve racking in the whiteout conditions but everyone on the motorway was driving very sensibly and there were no accidents that held us up, just slow steady pace.
