Slip sliding away!

Spent 3 hours trying to get home last night on icy roads after the city was gridlocked.  More snow overnight, so decided to leave the car at home and walked to Bingley to catch a train.
The snow was not deep, but the roads were still extremely icy, and although lots of cars went by, I caught them all up at the hill down into the town. and bypassed them.  The train arrived just as I reached the platform, and it was the same on the return journey tonight.  Quite enjoyed being car free! And I reached work on time.
Usual thing though - those who live nearest to work were the ones ringing in to say they couldn't get there or would be late!  Snow nice and crunchy tonight, but getting icier again, so who knows what tomorrow's journey will be like!  Stay safe everyone!
