Loch Venachar

Today was the start of our country dancing break at Aberfoyle.  We left home in the early afternoon and travelled to Callander and then Loch Venachar Café for coffee.  I took my blip there showing Ben Venue over the loch.  We then discovered that the Duke's Pass was closed due to ice at the summit.  The Pass is never treated in wintertime, so it can be quite hazardous, so we went back to Callander and over the Braes of Greenock to the Lake of Menteith and then to Aberfoyle.

Had a lovely dinner and then presentation of the week's programme.  Then a terrific night of dancing, both country dancing in sets, and ceilidh dancing.
