Friday Selfie
Sorry to appear vain, but it was a beautiful winter day when Rocky and I headed out for our walk. And I decided to put a splash of colour l(i.e. - me and him!) into our photo today. So we stopped for a seat on a rock which our local farmer has kindly placed at one side of the footpath, and I balanced my camera on a matching one which sits on the other side, and hit the 10 second timer.
After thwarted attempts to get us both back at the rock, and in shot, I eventually settled for this one. Oh how happy I am to be in my late 50's now, and not to give a toss about what I look like when I'm out walking! This cosy hat of mine is lined with fleece, and keeps my ears lovely and warm.
The snow has shifted pretty quickly in the sunshine, but I think there's more forecast for tomorrow.
While I'm writing this my Seville oranges are bobbing around in a pan of water, as per the Guardian recipe for marmalade that I am trying out. I'm not convinced about it though; seems to be a lot of sugar involved, and there is lemon juice in it - is that normal?
If any of you talented cooks out there (like that lady who lives by the coast, hint hint) have a really good and easy recipe I'd be delighted to have it please.
Anyway, better get on, Mr D is home and shouting for some tea before he goes out on a bender with the lads tonight. Sounds like it is going to be a late one, so I'll get the remote control to myself - yippee!
Have a nice weekend all.
