Cabbages and Blue

We spent the afternoon in a new refugee camp we discovered up a mountain near our house. I enjoyed spending time in a tent packed with women and children. I heard some awful things about what they'd been through but was able to talk to them about our hope.

We took 2 crates of cabbages to give out but soon discovered they are considered 'dirty' in their religion and it would be sinful to eat them! We also had all the blue blankets and coats returned as they consider Blue to be sinful too. Oops! It was pretty awkward but later I had quite a giggle about it with the ladies!
