Sun-day

At last, a day of sunshine. A whole day of it!

Feeling remarkably bright this morning, we headed straight into the garden, pj's still on, to enjoy the big yellow thing that appeared in the sky. Sun, I think it's called.

Not having spent any time in the garden in the last few weeks, it was now clear to see just how overgrown and weedy everything had become, so the whole day was spent doing a tidy up. Not such a bad job in the sunshine, really. Even better doing it with a glass of wine and in pj's, which I did not change out of all day. I clearly have no shame!

Our neighbour's daughter, Eva, came to play with A&D and then stayed for dinner so the kids were well entertained. It did, however, descend into a tear-stained goodbye when R took Eva home, with A&D waving and wailing at the bedroom window.. They were inconsolable for 10 minutes then out for the count.
