Succulents........in our garden.

Although not great gardeners, we do get a lot of pleasure from our garden.........and living on the Mediterranean, a continual problem is the unreliable and insufficient rainfall. And this is where the Succulants come into their own!
They are virtually indestructible! They have a variety of leaf forms and plant shapes, and have adapted to retain water, making them very suitable for arid and semi-arid areas.
They need bright sunlight, and are amazingly tolerant of the cold.....so when our night temperatures are low, they still seem to thrive.
For those of us who like travelling away from home, these garden plants are ideal........pretty much, no matter how long we are away, and how neglected they are.......they still seem to flourish!
