Poppies, clover and pines outside Pisa
This is the sort of image that always catches out our two eldest boys who are both red/green colourblind. "What do you think to the poppies?" I'll ask. "What poppies?" they'll say.
This one would be even tougher for them since the poppies are dotted amongst ruby clover flowers under these distinctive pine trees that bush out on top. The field is just across the road that runs past the moorings on the Arno, running in to Pisa.
After we came back to the boat last night we sat a while and listened to Nightingales serenading each other from opposite banks of the river - magic.
Sea Flower, Victor's boat will be out of the water and on chocks for a while as he's just been posted to Delhi. It rained most of today so we didn't venture in to Pisa but did a few jobs on the boat and read. I'm putting together a gallery from the week but it's taking a while to sort the images.
