Derelict Thursday

I counted 82 entries this week and I know there were a few more not shown in the list because of a problem with tags. Blip Central have said that they do have this on their list of issues to be fixed.

My selection of favourites has been very difficult this week but these are the images that appealed to me the most.

Herself/Freespiral will be making her selection too but we have not conferred. Thanks to everyone who participated in the challenge this week!

A simple composition but with wonderful light created by the snow around this small structure.

This appeals to my liking for light, texture and abstract shapes. It takes a good eye to see a composition like this.

Derelict Thursday by Aynil
Colourful, full of fascinating details and an exotic location. The figures dwarfed by their surroundings make the image for me.

This is such a strong mono image with that hefty metal link set against the stormy seascape in strong light that I had to select it. As usual, the title is very clever and adds to the strength of the image (look up ‘moused’ in this context if you don’t get it)

The Sanatorium by CamaraLenta
A classic of the genre, this has beautifully soft tones and the light streaming through the window is so well handled. It has an interesting description too, and I look forward to the return visit - but take care in there!
