Tom Weir. mountain man
Spent the morning in meetings, then took a daughter to Clydebank to pick up a new car. On the way back I took a detour down to Balmaha on the east side of Loch Lomond, as the light was fading, to see the new statue of Tom Weir.
It was installed by the Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs and the Tom Weir Statue Campaign to remember a man who did so much to promote the joys of the Scottish outdoors through his writing and television programmes that are still broadcast today. Shame I didn't have a red woollie bunnet with me.
