Bitter Sweet

Today is the opening day of the St.Ives Food Festival, so I thought I should try and capture something food related in honour of the day. Little did I know that I would end up taking a bit of social documentary. Whites the furnishers has been a St.Ives institution since before I was born (along time ago) so I was saddened to see their retirement sale sign up in their window. I hope the business finds away to keep going, it has offered great service to the town for donkeys years. In the interest of accuracy I can attest to the high quality of the ice cream served from this Fore Street shop. Good to see that the assistant was enjoying her job too.
