Lacey Wings…….
…………….of the Passionvine Hopper
These insects look pretty, but they aren’t the best pest to have inhabiting the garden.
- - They were introduced from Australia
- - Found throughout the North Island and the Nelson area of NZ.
- - Both the nymphs and adults feed on plant sap of many garden plants
- - The adults are active from summer into autumn.
This photo has been taken using all three extension tubes. As was yesterday’s photo.
The 5mm of overnight rain wasn’t anywhere near enough to satisfy our dry conditions. It has remained cloudy, but warm today.
