Boat heading into the Beauly Firth, and on to the sea lock at Clachnaharry - North end of the Caledonian Canal. That's the distant narrow pointy-out bit, with the lone Lock Keeper's house. The slipway before it is at South Kessock, and used to be used for the ferry to the Black Isle, prior to the opening of the Kessock Bridge... which I was standing upon.
Into town for shopping, before the forecast rain comes. Waited ages on the bridge for the boat to come through. It dithered about for ages in front of the bridge, before romping out on my side. Tripped the shutter inadvertently for the first shot, and this is a bit too far away for what I'd been planning. Oh well, it's okay, but as ever with portrait orientated ones, not quite straight... alas.
