Through the arch way

This afternoon I went in search of a photo for the FB weekly photo challenge. This weeks topic was architecture , This is Newport Arch in Lincoln which use to be one of the gateways into city back in roman times it has done well to survive over the years it was even hit by a lorry that got stuck in it back in 1964 
This shot is of the south side which was originally inside the city and is best viewed LARGE.  My FB photo was taken from the north side my shot can be seen HERE .
