String and paperclips

I haven't been outside the house today.  I was woken at 4 a.m. by some idiotic person phoning to ask for a taxi.  I always have a bit of a panic when the phone rings at an unusual time as I am convinced it is bad news so I was unable to go back to sleep.  I got up, did nothing useful but felt terrible all day.  
I am also wondering whatever possessed me to install a white wood floor on a room that leads directly from the garden with two large dogs.  It is permanently covered in muddy paw prints.
So after a bit of a moan I must say I have loved my day of doing nothing. Had chance to play with the new lens again.
