Kilt jacket shopping

Who knew it could be so much fun!!?

This is 21st Century kilts in Edinburgh where we went today to pick the material for Jamie's kilt jacket and waistcoat for his wedding in May. Turn out the tartan is no longer produced and so the kilt is a family heirloom. They guy who owns the shop was really taken with the kilt and how well made it was. He certainly knows his stuff. We chose contrasting tweed for the jacket and waistcoat to complement the kilt. He will also make flashes to match and the lining is going to be very funky. And to top it all off the button hole on the cuff are done in different colour cotton to represent the date they get married!
