The price of sprouts

Had a window smashed on my car yesterday. The earliest that I could get it fixed was between 00:00 and 03:00 this morning, so stayed up late.

The guy turned up early (23:45) so was unable to do any paperwork as the system wouldn't release it to him. After he had gone I thought I might as well do my final shop for the fresh veg for Christmas. 

Puzzled (no, more intrigued) by the difference in cost between trimmed and untrimmed sprouts. 750g of untrimmed sprouts for 79p, or 250g of trimmed ones for 69p. No loose ones around, so guess which ones I bought.
