Sudden Storm.

A better day at work, but yesterday has unsettled me, I'm glad I've got a week off before my op, and then some time afterwards.

It has been hot again today, and on the way home dark storm clouds were starting to gather.  I was hoping to reach home before it started, but 15 minutes from home down it came, including small hail.

It stopped after about 5 minutes and there was a bit of a clearing in the sky.  But as  I drove on, I could see even darker clouds forming, and the thunder and lightning began.

I made it to the house just in time before the full force of the storm hit, so glad I wasn't driving in it.

Sad news this morning.  A young family sheltering from the storm were hit by lightning at Worongary a town about 18 kms from me.  I heard this morning the young father died, leaving his wife, and children aged 18 mths and 12 weeks still in hospital.
