Quite a busy day-shopping and domestic stuff and prepared lunch for tomorrow and nearly finished another chapter of thesis commenting (although being driven mad by Word crashing so often - goodness knows what's going on with it).
In the evening off to the Opera. Ines de Castro by James MacMillan. My goodness it had everytging in it-lots of death and gore and war and love and sex etc etc etc....even an electric chair execution of the heroine who was then exhumed and her corpse crowned Queen (that's her in the Orange robes!). All with some great brass and percussion...
