Paddington's favourite?

Today was the day. The seville oranges had sat in a cool place for almost a week. I had a free day. It was cold outside. I had enough sugar! No excuse!!
So I made 19 lbs of marmalade for my husband, who likes it on his oatcakes at breakfast, and occasionally in a sandwich! and yes, I like it too.
Last year I made a mere 12lbs - it didn't last much beyond the summer, so maybe I've cracked it this time!
The kitchen was warm, and the aroma of the oranges filled the air. As we were chopping the peel, the sun came out for a while, and the birds were feeding outside the window. Now the jars are cooling, ready for their tops and their labels.
Not such a bad way to spend (most of) a winter Saturday!
