Decision Time

This is Hilts, he will be 14 in the summer. We have been giving him the worlds most expensive heart medication since September when he developed a bad cough. He has been fine, the cough vanished, his appetite returned, he has been his usual stubborn, independent and single minded self. Last night, as he turned his bed over for the umpteenth time, I thought he would last for ever. Today, he started staggering, hugs the walls as he moves around.....still eating, still bright eyed....
We are going to have to make a decision soon, I'm such I coward.....I wish he would just die in his sleep.
