Sunshine on a rainy day

I am not complaining about the weather - this rain is long overdue.

I went to the estuary this morning in a clear spell between showers, The sea was grey and the sky was grey. I sat for a while watching welcome swallows  skimming over the water hunting insects and then it started to rain, sending me racing back to the car.

Passing the community gardens I stopped to quickly take a pic of this sunflower peeking over the fence. It is nice to find something bright and colourful on a grey, wet day.
