Summer crops

We are having a bit of a drought here at the moment (if you can't tell from the yellow tones of my photos), and we have not had any really significant rainfall here since easter last year. As such, the many, many vineyards around here are facing the possibilities of water restrictions, which would be bad news for the area's economy. However, as we live near a bloody great big agricultural lake, the grapes up our way should be ok!

In today's other news, I bought a bike. I have not ridden a bike in years, nor am I very good at riding one. However, it is purple, as is my helmet. I wanted the helmet that was pink with a tiara on it but my head was too big.
