iPhone despair

Noooo!

While updating my iPhone to the new iOS 8.1.3 this morning the update failed and the phone needed a factory reset.

I've been getting casual with iOS updates as they've never given me a problem before and it's been a few weeks since I've backed up my phone. I can see hours of frustration ahead as I try to restore it. And the last few days blips are gone for good :-(
