A slice of Lesley's life

Waiting at the station

This was going to be a farewell blip to our pianola which got taken away today. It doesn't work, and hasn't whilst it has been in our possession. We were gifted by a neighbour and we happily took ownership imagining that one day we would get it restored. Which we kept imagining right up until we got a quote. Then it just became a big piece of furniture for displaying photos and an odd assortment of items including a pair of cymbals, a glitter ball, two cocktail shakers and a soda syphon. The latter doesn't work either but as it's smaller we can probably find it a new home. So I was going to blip the pianola in its removal van. Or even the empty space that is awaiting the arrival of a working piano. But those photos are on my camera and I ran out of time for doing the necessary. One of the reasons is because I had to tag parent when Carl got home and dash out to meet friends to talk about writing a play...far too exciting an outing for a Monday but I could get used to it, I'm sure.
