Homeward bound...

With a very heavy heart, I deposited my girl at Buchanan Street bus station, to board the overnight sleeper bus back home to London.

I've had a wonderful couple of days, basking in her company, hearing her tales of living and working in the metropolis, us both beaming at the realisation that she's succesfully negotiated this most significant of steps - that of leaving the safety of the nest and setting off and up on your own.

She won't know I cried the whole way home.
