Newstead

One of my very favourite places - the gate into the Rose Garden at Newstead Abbey.  This used to be a frequently visited place and has seen us through some very bleak times in the past. It always seems to have a forgotten feel about it, but its stillness calms the heart.  It was lovely to be there this morning  (although absolutely freezing.!) Warmed up with sausage sandwiches and mugs of coffee, and got home in time for holiday planning in the afternoon.  I'm feeling very lucky today.
