forwards and backwards

It's very annoying when an upload fails and you lose all your text.

The initial resistance to being put to sleep by being in the bike seat has passed, resulting in slumpy snortling all the way to Roseburn where it was rudely interrupted by some sports performance spectators oafing loudly about, resulting in squawkling for a bit of the return leg until I worked out that the slight remaining sideways slump wasn't something he was prepared to correct all by himself. The main purpose of the fifteen-mile journey was to pop to a shop two miles away to return an unrequired gift, though as there was no receipt or proof of purchase we ended up having to wait twenty minutes for a member of staff with sufficient authorisation/knowledge/motivation to enact the refund and supply us with our £6 of store credit, for a store in which I've probably not spent £6 in the past ten years.
