Scarred FOR Life
Very proud of my friend Liza, top right, for organising the forthcoming Scarred FOR Life photography exhibition coming to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow, from 13 Feb to 15 March 2015.
Lots of fab press coverage this weekend, including:

“Scarred FOR Life” is a photographic exhibition of adults born with Congenital Heart Disease, baring their scars in celebration of life. The exhibition features photography and testimonies from each of the models about the meaning of their scars, all first generation adult survivors of modern day, pioneering surgery for congenital heart conditions. The charity behind the exhibition is The Somerville Foundation (previously know as GUCH: Grown Up Congenital Heart disease).
Please come along and give your support if you can. Worryingly, many current first generation survivors of Congenital Heart Disease are thought to be lost to follow up in modern healthcare systems, so it's vital that awareness is raised of these individuals' unique and lifelong healthcare needs.
