Surprise snow fall

The weather service was predicting an inch(2.54 cm) at the most, instead I woke up to 7 inches (17.78 cm) on the day I was on Snow duty at the Botanic Gardens.   It was a beautiful but tiring morning as the machines were not working on the heavy wet snow and we ended up doing quiet a bit of it by hand.  I think I shoveled for 5 hours today.

Still the moisture is welcome, the mountains however are not getting the snow which could mean water rationing this coming summer. As denverites we like it snowing in the mountains and warm in the city.
