Colonoscopy Prep

Not for me, but for my wife. She is scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow morning. It's definitely not a pleasant subject, but a very important one. I'm a firm believer that colonoscopies save lives. I had an older sister who died of colon cancer two months before her 47th birthday, and just four months after being diagnosed. She went through chemotherapy treatments, and still didn't beat it. Later, my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer, but she caught it early enough that she was cured. So, consequently, I have been having colonoscopies every five years since I was 40. Now I'm on an every three year schedule. Fortunately, my next one isn't until next year. So, the lesson is don't put it off. It's not pleasant, but very necessary. The survival rate for colon cancer is 90% if they catch it early. So, no excuses. If you need it, do it!
