Biltmore Park

Biltmore Park is an up-scale residential, dining, and shopping area about 5 minutes from our son's house in Arden, NC, a suburb of Asheville, NC.  This shot is from the YMCA late on Sunday afternoon.  Biltmore Park is a development of the same family now in ownership and operation of the Biltmore House, the largest residence in the USA.  George (the man who built the Biltmore House), and Edith Vanderbilt's daughter, Cornelia, married John Francis Amherst Cecil an Englishman posted as a diplomat at the British Embassy in Washington, DC.   One of the descendants of that union operates the industries and properties of the Estate today.  Earlier, in the line of ancestors in the 1600's, William Cecil was cheif advisor to Queen Elizabeth I.
