Advertising....

I was taking pictures of the Art Deco influenced apartment tower on Great Ancoats Street. I like this building with its curvy corners and the glass cladding. It's reflects the shapes in the Daily Express Building further along the street.

Cigarette advertising is banned in the UK these days and has been for years. I think that, because Ancoats has been neglected for so many years, this sign from the 50s or 60s has survived. It's now of historic interest I think and I hope it stays. I had no desire to rush out and buy some cigs after seeing it.
