Mono Monday: Spirit

We have a couple of witch balls hanging in our conservatory: in the 17th and 18th century these were hung in cottage windows to ward off witches and evil spirits. This is a modern one, and I'm not even slightly superstitious (luckily, because this house was said in the village to be haunted - probably to discourage local children from breaking in to play when it was derelict and dangerous); but I thought it was a fitting subject for today's challenge.
