Day 30 - An Unreal Day

This image presented itself as we reached the top of a very cold chairlift ride. What we could see was so amazing, it didn't look real. It looks even less real in this picture. But the cold I felt in my fingers as I removed my gloves and opened my jacket to get my phone out to take this picture was very real.

It was also another unreal skiing day, over a meter deep untracked snow so light that waves of it come up over your head as you ski through it. If you are skiing hard you breath hard, and sometimes as the snow came up over my head as I was breathing in I got a mouthful too. Skiers call this face shots.

Deep, light, untracked snow hitting me in the face, filling my mouth and nostrils, as I silently skied through meadows and forests. Every day skiing is a good day.
