Gated.

This used to be a derelict stair case. Chip board and posters used to make a barrier between the street and the steps. Occasionally you would see the odd desperate soul take shelter in the dark space behind. 

It was obviously becoming dangerous. The steps were broken and the stonework unstable. 

A little while ago it suddenly surrounded with scaffolding and sheeting. The stair is now unveiled as a gated well lit, coldly unwelcoming place.
