This platform or the other platform

The train to work this morning broke down so we all had to get off and catch another train at Alexandra Palace.  There are couple of platforms with trains to London so nobody knew if it was better to stay on the same platform of go over the bridge to the other platform.  There were quite a number of people who called it correctly and went over the bridge only to find that they couldn't get on the train as it was full so they came back again.  In the end I didn't manage to get a train until the 3rd train to London.  At least the trains are fairly frequent and as I normally aim to be at work a little bit early I was only about fifteen minutes late in the end.
