Golden Surge

Golden rays illuminate a wave on the shores of Baie de Saint Marie, New Caledonia. After clambering down onto a small patch of sand where the waves were breaking I set up to take the shot. The sunrise was rather dull but the waves were catching the golden glow and kept rolling in so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try some motion blur wave photography. This is my best attempt of about 300 shots within half an hour and I'm very pleased with it but as a first attempt I still feel like there's a lot more to achieve.
