Orchid on the Rocks

Dressed in blood red with crisp white collars, these mini orchids were a delightful thank you gift from a fellow musician for some extra rehearsal sessions, and just the splash of color I needed to accent my otherwise gray, drizzly day. These particular beauties are a unique species of orchid (Phalaenopsis) that requires only an ice cube a week to keep healthy. Orchids on the Rocks are now on my kitchen windowsill!
