Today was sunny at lunchtime, around 21C and a good day for a drive to explore an area I had not been to for many years. At the top of a hill in Donvale, I stopped to take a blip of the view and noticed horses in a paddock. Now I am not that familiar with the proper care of horses - but this particular horse was in a paddock with at least one other horse. The white horse in this blip had a cover over its face - why I don't know. The chestnut horse had on two coats, one over the body, the other around its neck - perhaps they are to protect from sunburn, but I am of the view as horses are not born with a coat, they don't need one, particularly in summer. They were in an absolutely huge paddock but it looked totally bereft of grass. Should I be concerned and report it to the RSPCA?
