Summer ?????

This wee butterfly was resting inside our bedroom window, it looks as if it is very young and has just emerged. I spotted it on the ledge above the heater so wonder if it had been left there last summer and has now come out of its cocoon fooled by the warmth of the bedroom. Any suggestions ?
