Darkest Africa

We planned a special treat to the Luce Restaurant in Hyde Park, not just because the food is great but there is a great view of the northern Joburg skyline.

The food was outstanding but the whole area was on load shedding so instead of a mass of twinkling lights there was just darkness apart from the few street lights that are solar powered.

We got home to the steady hum of generators in homes around ours even though the power was back on again. Numpties!
