When the scaffolders left the other day they clipped the gatepost on the way out.  In "normal" houses this isn't a big problem, but when your gatepost is a couple of cubic metres of sandstone it presents a bit of a quandary.

However, its one the contractors are getting sorted.  Phase one was separating it from the wall  that had remained attached to it.

Phase two is to slide it back into position.  I'd not bet too heavily on that working, myself.
