Coffee time
Mr C had to have another blood test today so it was back to Aberaeron for that. We stopped for a coffee at a little cafe owned and run by a woman whose grandparents came over to Wales from Italy after the second world war, as many Italians did. Their photograph can be seen on the menu on the table in the picture. All cakes, pastries and breads are baked on the premises and are really delicious. I showed a great deal of restraint by having a currant scone and butter, but something rich and chocolatey was consumed by the other party.
It was a glorious day with brilliant sunshine from morning to evening, but bitterly cold again. At 9 am it was only zero in the greenhouse, so it must have been well below that during the night. We escaped the snowfall which affected other parts of the country, thankfully.
Filming has begin up the lane, not in the quarry but at an abandoned house close by. I was able to peek through the hedge and get one or two pictures, but nothing good enough to post. The filming is all going on away from the lane so traffic is not restricted. I might return tomorrow and see what I can see.
