Oh wert thou in the cauld blast

I always feel sorry for flowers that come out early in the year, then have to bear the brunt of the cold and the winter weather. 

It snowed last night, though by the time I took a break and wandered out into the garden, a lot of it had gone. I wasn't pleased with the shots I took - they were so-so and a bit dull. But I played around a bit, and though I'm not usually a fan of one-click effects, I really liked the way this snowdrop came out. It seemed a nice abstract representation of the "cauld blast" of winter that these flowers encounter.
