Heavy Art Work

This is artist, Kim W. Wilson , taking a breather after lugging dozens of back-breakingly heavy sacks up the stairs of the RSA building in Edinburgh earlier today.
Come Friday, Kim's new installation will be part of vas:t 2015, the annual exhibition of Scottish art society, Visual Arts Scotland.
The exhibition is still being hung - or positioned - not all the artworks are 'hangable'. Kim's installation, created from the contents of the the sacks (wool grease, bone-oil, peat and bone ash, bovine gelatine and oil-shale waste) will be on the floor of this fine neoclassical building.
I'm writing about vas:t 2015 in this weekend's Herald Arts supplement. Well, mostly thinking about it at the moment. Writing it tomorrow...
